Shipping Charges:

• Domestic (India): Flat rate of INR 150
• International: Shipping fee varies by location, up to INR 3000

Taxes & Duties:

• Within India: All prices include taxes and duties.
• Outside India: Customs duties and local taxes are to be paid by the customer upon delivery, directly to the shipping partner. These vary by destination country and local regulations.

Dispatch Timelines:

• Domestic Orders: Usually shipped within 4-7 working days
• International Orders: Usually shipped within 14-21 working days

At JAALIKA, every product undergoes stringent quality checks. However, if your piece arrives damaged or defective, we offer a Refund or Exchange, subject to the following:

• No returns/exchanges unless the product is damaged.
• Claims must be made within 48 hours of receiving the order.
• You must provide a clear unpacking video highlighting the damage.

Storage:

• Guard Against Moisture: Humidity is the primary culprit for tarnishing and can lead to a blue-green patina on brass. Always store your jewellery in a dry, cool environment. Avoid damp areas like bathrooms.
• Dedicated Space: Use a soft-lined jewellery box or a pouch for each piece. This prevents scratches and minimizes exposure to air, which contributes to tarnish. Consider using anti-tarnish pouches or cloths for an extra layer of protection, especially for silver.
• Sunlight Sensitivity: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, as it can cause discoloration over time, particularly for certain finishes.

Cleaning:

• Gentle Wipe: After each wear, gently wipe your jewellery with a clean, dry, soft cloth to remove any oils, dust, or fingerprints.
• Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Never use abrasive cleaners, bleach, or harsh chemicals on your Jaalika jewellery. These can damage the intentional oxidised finish and the metal itself, leading to irreversible discoloration or corrosion.

Things to Avoid:

• Water Exposure: Remove your jewellery before swimming, bathing, showering, or engaging in activities that may expose it to water, especially salty or chlorinated water. Brass is particularly susceptible to tarnishing when wet.
• Cosmetics First: Apply perfumes, hairspray, lotions, and other beauty products before putting on your jewellery. The chemicals in these products can react with the metal and cause tarnishing or corrosion over time. Rough Handling: Treat your handcrafted pieces with care. Avoid rough handling, impacts, or situations that could cause scratches, dents, or damage to delicate elements. Regarding the Oxidised Finish: The intentional oxidised finish on many of our brass and silver pieces is a deliberate artistic choice, designed to enhance the intricate details and create a unique, aged aesthetic. This finish will naturally evolve over time, and slight changes in its appearance are part of the inherent character of the piece and not considered a defect.
